Mala Pata & Peyote Mini-Bar Opens this month in Raleigh’s Gateway Plaza

Mala Pata Molino Cocina and its adjacent Peyote mini-bar will opened Wednesday, May 14 in Raleigh’s Gateway Plaza, offering a new + unique dining experience centered around traditional masa-making and vibrant Latin American flavors.

Mala Pata is the long-awaited collab from well known NC chefs and restaurateurs. The team includes Angela Salamanca and Marshall Davis, Eric Montagne and Zack Gragg.

Mala Pata’s menu is rooted in traditional masa production. The team sources high-quality heirloom corn from Oaxaca, Mexico.

Tucked into a breezeway beside Mala Pata, Peyote mini-bar is a casual 7-seat walk-up bar offering beer, wine and a small menu of craft cocktails. Carrying on the tradition at Gallo Pelón.

We loved all the dishes we tried! The guacamole was so fresh and delicious. The Lechoncito de oro, and the rajas enchiladas were outstanding. We also enjoyed the spicy margarita, nicely paired with our dishes! So good. The space is warm, inviting and beautiful. I love the location with Mordecai Bev Co across the way and nearby Natural Science Bar. What a fun spot! I can’t wait to come back again soon!

Thank you Mala Pata for such a fun and flavorful #sneakpeek night out!
