Visionary owners Sarah and Jeff Shepherd have resurrected Montfort Hall, the 10,000 square foot pre-Civil War Italianate-style mansion (and National Historic Landmark) as a hotel with nine ensuite guest rooms and an event setting for up to 120. This majestic 1858 mansion sits on the highest point of historic Boylan Heights in downtown Raleigh.

I was excited to get a sneak peek inside when it opened in April 2021 and again on the grounds this past weekend to celebrate four years.
